Welcome to the Web Site, Sally John: Physiotherapist. I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce my credentials and interests to you. I have been qualified since 1981 at the Royal London Hospital UK and registered with the College of Physiotherapists in Ontario since moving here in 1988. I have worked in manual therapy since 1987 and continue to update with post graduate courses. I have worked with Sports Physiotherapy Canada since 1989 until 1998.
use a manual therapy approach (hands on); assessment of correct joint movement, nerve
and muscle tone comparing with normal known anatomical movements and muscle and
nerve tensions of the whole skeletal posture. Through the use of selective tissue tension,
I perform an analysis which enables me to detect tight or lengthened muscles, fascia and
restricted nerve movement and stiff or mobile joints. This enables me to identify the
possible pathology. I treat and educate the patient as to his/her problem with the help
from pictures and "Fred" the skeleton. My aim is to re-educate the weak muscles, stretch
the short muscles, and mobilise joints to regain as near to normal function for that person.
